Our Lady of Peace Parish

In continuing with our mission, Our Lady of Peace offers a variety of ministries to help our
parishioners grow closer to God.


Baptism
All baptisms will be celebrated the last weekend of each month. Parents must be a
members of the parish and attend classes on Baptism. Call the parish office for
arrangements.

Confession
Saturday 3:00 PM
Sunday 11:00-11:30 AM

First Communion
Members wishing to receive their First Communion must participate in the School of
Religion or the RCIA program.

Confirmation
Candidates for Confirmation must be high school students. The preparation period for
Confirmation is usually a year, but the dates vary as to the beginning and end of the classes.
The group meets at least twice a month, sharing, reflecting and discussing with their
instructor and facilitator.

The preparation includes at least two retreats and a service project. It is our hope that the
young people involved will celebrate the sacrament of Confirmation with a fuller
understanding of the responsibilities of being an adult Catholic, and having a meaningful
faith and a deeper relationship with God and one another.

Wedding Preparation
Must be scheduled at least six months in advance by appointment with the Pastor.

Fees:
$50 for Preparation Classes
$300 Mass fee for parishioners
$500 Mass fee for non-parishioners

RCIA: Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
We invite those who may be interested in joining our Catholic community to reflect on their
faith and life experiences and learn about our values, beliefs and traditions as Catholic
Christians.

The RCIA program is available to those who may have no Christian affiliation or formation,
Christians of other denominations and baptized adult Catholic who have not been confirmed.

We invite those members of our parish who would like to serve as sponsors to inquire
through the parish office. Sponsors have a unique opportunity to renew and refresh their own
faith as they serve as a model and companion for those joining the church.

Quinceañera program
Families must be registered members of Our Lady of Peace and must reserve the date with
the parish office at least 6 months prior to the celebration.  

All quinceañera candidates must be at least 14 years of age or at least a freshman in high
school to start the quinceañera preparation classes. Each session consists of five classes
and a $50 fee.

Additional information, including costs, will be given once the date is reserved.
